The beta has no usage charges and no add-ons. Past the telemetry allowance we keep a sample instead of charging you more. Adding servers

Your apps run on your servers.

Temps Cloud hosts the control plane, and your own servers do the work. You pay your hosting provider separately; Temps doesn't sell compute.

    Your servers do the work

    Apps, databases and web traffic run on machines you own. The control plane deploys to them and watches them; it is never in the request path.

    Run the join command on a compatible server and it appears in your console as a worker. You pay your provider separately for hosting.

    History and backups live with us

How much does Temps cost?+

Temps is free to self-host under MIT / Apache 2.0, with no limits on projects, deployments or users. Premium, the self-hosted Enterprise Edition (SAML SSO, SCIM, per-project firewall, approval gates, tamper-evident audit), is $399 per organisation per month and available now. Temps Cloud, a hosted control plane for your own servers, is $29/month in an invite-only beta. Prices are in USD.

Is self-hosted Temps still free?+

Yes. Temps remains MIT / Apache 2.0 and free to run on your own infrastructure, and it doesn't depend on Temps Cloud. Temps Cloud is a separate, optional service that hosts the control plane for you.

How do I get into the beta?+

Request an invite and tell us what you want to run. Once we've invited you, sign in with the invited address, pay at checkout and create your control plane.

Is there a free trial?+

No. Temps Cloud is $29/month plus any tax that applies, charged when you check out, and you can cancel at any time. Self-hosting is free and needs no trial.

What if I need more than one control plane?+

The beta includes one hosted control plane. More capacity is by approval, so talk to us about what you need.

How are managed backups measured and verified?+

The 50 GB allowance is the backup data kept at one time. There are no overage charges: past the allowance, new backups pause until you are back under it. Restores are verified against a disposable database, so you know a backup works before you need it.

Where do my apps and data live?+

Your apps, databases and web traffic stay on your servers. The hosted control plane runs in the EU during the beta and never sits in the request path; it stores the console, analytics and error history, backups and configuration. If a server loses contact with the control plane, its apps keep serving.

Do I need my own server?+

Yes, to run apps. Temps Cloud hosts the control plane, not your apps, so you join your own servers to it as workers. If you'd rather run the control plane yourself too, self-hosted Temps is free.

Can I connect my existing self-hosted Temps to Cloud?+

Not on new accounts. The beta offers hosted control planes only. Your self-hosted install keeps working exactly as it does today, with or without Temps Cloud.

Do you sell servers?+

No. You join your own VPS or bare-metal servers, and you pay your hosting provider separately for the server, storage, bandwidth and other infrastructure charges. You pay Temps for the plan.
