Frequently asked questions

How do I pair my iPhone with Fleet?

On the computer running Fleet, open the workspace menu and choose Pair another device. Scan the QR code with the iPhone Camera and tap the Temps Fleet banner, or tap Paste a pairing link instead in the app. Compare the eight-character code on both screens, then choose Approve device on the computer. Keep the pairing dialog open until it reports success. Invitations expire after five minutes and enroll one device, so create a new one if it timed out.

The phone says Fleet is unreachable or keeps showing Reconnecting.

The phone talks to the Fleet running on your computer, so that computer has to be awake and Fleet has to be running. On the computer, open Settings › Fleet connections and check that the relay status is online. If the Fleet service stopped, reopen the desktop app or run temps-fleet status and temps-fleet start from a terminal. The phone keeps your current screen and reconnects on its own once the host answers again; you don't need to force-quit it. If it still fails, remove the pairing and pair again with a fresh link.

Push notifications are not arriving.

On the iPhone, open Settings → Notifications in Fleet, choose Enable push for the connected Fleet, allow the system permission, then tap Send push test. "Apple accepted" means Apple's push service took the notification; if no banner appears, check iOS notification permissions, Focus modes, and volume. If the test says Apple rejected the device token, install the current app version and tap Retry registration. Push also needs the Fleet on your computer to be running, connected to its relay, and up to date. The conversation you are currently reading never notifies, and stopping a turn on purpose does not send a notification.

How do I remove or revoke a paired device?

On the computer running Fleet, open Manage paired devices (or Settings › Fleet connections) and revoke the device by name. It is cut off immediately and can no longer receive queued notifications. On the phone, removing the pairing also clears its cached conversation previews. Disabling push on the phone removes its push subscription without disconnecting it.

Where are Fleet's logs?

The Fleet service writes its log to ~/.temps-fleet/fleet.log on the computer that runs it. Follow it with temps-fleet logs -f, or open Daemon logs from Settings in the app. On the iPhone, that screen shows the paired computer's log through the encrypted connection. Include the relevant lines when you contact us, after removing anything you consider private.

Do I need a Temps account?

No. Fleet has no sign-up. The desktop app runs on your computer with a local database, and the iPhone app only needs a pairing with it. Your agents use the Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode accounts already signed in on that computer.

Why does Fleet need my computer to stay on?

Your agents, projects, and conversation history live on your computer, not in our cloud. The iPhone app is a remote control for that machine. If you want agents that run while your laptop sleeps, run Fleet headlessly on a Linux VPS and pair the phone with it instead.

Is my code or conversation visible to the relay?

No. Traffic between the phone and your computer is end-to-end encrypted with the Noise protocol; the relay only forwards ciphertext. The exception is push notifications, whose title and short preview pass through the relay to Apple. The Fleet privacy policy explains exactly what is sent.
